The short answer
ClearCoat Painting serves Sewall's Point in Martin County, about 19 miles north of Jupiter. We repaint waterfront exteriors with moisture- and UV-resistant systems and handle interiors, cabinets, trim, staining and pressure washing.
Sewall's Point is a small town in Martin County, roughly 19 miles north of our Jupiter base, and its homes are surrounded by water, trees and open sky. That setting is beautiful and hard on finishes. Moisture rises off the water on calm mornings, salt rides the breeze, shade from mature trees keeps some walls damp, and the open exposure lets the sun hit others all day. ClearCoat Painting brings a careful, detail-minded approach to these homes, whether the job is a full exterior repaint, interior rooms, cabinetry or the wood and concrete that surround the house.
Reading a waterfront exterior before we quote it
No two sides of a house near the water age the same way. The elevation facing the open water often takes the most sun and salt, while a side tucked under tree canopy may be fighting mildew and algae instead. During our visit we walk all the way around, tap and inspect stucco, check caulk lines at windows and doors, look for rust on hardware and railings and press on wood trim to find soft spots.
That inspection drives the plan. Instead of one product everywhere, we might pair an elastomeric coating on cracked stucco with a mildew-resistant acrylic in the shade and a rust-inhibiting primer on metal. You get a written scope that explains each choice so you know exactly what is being done and why.
Wood, metal and other details
Waterfront homes tend to have more exterior details: wood shutters, decorative trim, gates, pergolas, dock walkways and metal railings. Wood is sanded, spot primed and coated with a flexible finish, or stained with a penetrating product if you want the grain to show. Metal is cleaned of corrosion and primed before the topcoat, which stops rust from bleeding back through.
Doors and shutters often take the brunt of storms. A hard, UV-resistant enamel helps them keep their color and resist moisture.

Inside: finishes that suit bright rooms
Large windows bring in a lot of light, which is wonderful until it reveals every roller mark and patch. We prepare walls until they are flat and smooth, prime repairs so they do not flash through, and choose sheens carefully: flatter on broad walls and ceilings, eggshell or satin where hands touch, enamel on trim and doors.
We also refinish kitchen and bathroom cabinets with bonding primers and cabinet-grade enamel, remove popcorn ceilings, repair drywall and freshen baseboards. Furniture is moved and covered, and floors are protected for the length of the job.
Choosing colors that age well in strong light
Color looks very different in an open waterside setting than it does on a paint chip indoors. Reflected light off the water can wash out pale shades, and deep tones absorb heat and fade faster on elevations that see sun all afternoon. For that reason, we encourage owners to test large samples on more than one side of the house and look at them at different times of day before committing.
Many coastal homes look their best with a light, UV-stable body color, crisp white or off-white trim, and a stronger accent on the front door or shutters, where a small amount of fading is easy to refresh. If your property falls under an association or deed guidelines on exterior appearance, we confirm the approved options with you first, so there is no need to repaint later.
Pressure washing the hardscape
Driveways, pool decks, walkways and seawall caps grow algae fast in a humid, shaded, waterside setting. We clean each surface at a pressure suitable for its material and treat organic growth so it does not come right back. Washing before an exterior repaint is not optional; it is the step that lets new paint grip the wall.
Scheduling around storms and seasons
November into April is the drier, milder period and the preferred time for exterior work. From May through October the climate turns hot and wet with frequent afternoon thunderstorms, so outdoor coating is done in the morning with surfaces protected before rain. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and many owners like their exterior sealed, caulked and painted before that window opens. Seasonal residents can schedule work while away; we can share progress updates along the way.
Our crews also work in Jupiter Island, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Juno Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
